What a busy first few weeks back we have had, we have had so much fun and the time has flown by, we can’t believe half term has come around already.
This half term we have welcomed all our children back from before lockdown as well as welcoming Rory, Sammy, Albert, Jack, George and Cedric into our Ladybird’s nest. We are so super proud of all our Ladybirds for adapting so brilliantly thoughout this difficult time. We have also welcomed Michelle, Holly and Dani to our staffing team.

It has been lovely to hear that Grace, William, Summer, Eli, Eleanor and Imogen have all settled well at their primary school after starting at the beginning of term. We look forward to hearing more from them as the term progresses.

Over the past few weeks we have shared many exciting topics which have supported us all to learn lots about different things; All about me, maths, pirates and princesses, autumn, all around the world, grandparents and finishing with harvest. I think it is safe to say we have had lots of fun and achieved so much. We absolutely loved listening to our stories from Grandma Sandy in French, Joe in Spanish and Petruta in Romanian, we enjoyed looking at each countries culture and traditions too, the best part was making and eating some of their traditional foods. We will try and hear a bit more French from Grandma Sandy after the half term break. Thank you all so much for sending your Grandparent’s photographs in, we are waiting for a wind free day to make our Grandparent’s tree in the garden, all their stories were amazing and kept us engaged before lunchtime.

Thank you to Emma for all the Forest School fun we have had over the past few weeks even though the weather hasn’t been on our side. We look forward to being down at the woods after half term, hopefully every other week. Please ensure your children are dressed warmly for these sessions.

Committee updates
At our AGM we said goodbye to Sarah, Dani and Amy and thanked them for their help on the committee. We welcomed Louis, Helen and Sam, we look forward to having you all on board. Emily stepped up to the secretary role and Tricia and Jodie will continue in their roles for the next year. Having an active committee is really helpful to us at Ladybirds and without their help and support Ladybirds would not be able to run effectively. If you would like any further information regarding the committee please contact Jodie via email – chair@ladybirdsleavenheath.com. Our next Zoom Committee meeting is being held on Wednesday 25th November at 8pm, you are more than welcome to join us.
