6th April 2020 – Home Learning – Week Two

Wow what a strange but busy week it’s been! So fantastic to see more photos of the children’s rainbows:

and we hear there have been many new skills learnt this week including gardening, painting, cooking, washing cars (brave parents!) and, very important…washing up!

The weather has been beautiful hasn’t it? You’ve been able to get outside for walks, picnics and playing…..

….and it’s lovely to see you’re still enjoying the Home Learning packs…..

…as well as creating your own home learning too – wonderful!

This week is the first week of the Easter Holidays so no doubt there will be some Easter Egg hunts planned in your gardens………and possibly even a few chocolate eggs eaten?! We thought we would have a focus on Growing for the next couple of weeks and we have some seed potatoes, pumpkin and bean seeds available. If anyone would like to join in, please email Stella and they will be left outside your door. Hopefully in a few months we can count who grew the MOST potatoes, who grew the TALLEST beanstalk and who grew the BIGGEST pumpkin. Don’t forget to look up Twinkl – their website says they have recently added new Easter resources.

The Children’s Commissioner has recently produced a child friendly document on Coronavirus. We have been advised that, whilst it is not aimed at pre-school children, it might help parents and older children and we attach the link below:

Finally, we have two Ladybird birthdays to celebrate this week – Aggie is 3 on 6th April and Grace will be 4 on 8th April. We know they would love to receive a birthday message from their friends so please do so if you can, thank you. Have a lovely week and keep safe and well everyone.
