We’ve had a lot of fun over the last two weeks back at Ladybirds! Welcome to our new children!
We’ve loved looking at your Scrapbooks and special items from your holidays so
please keep bringing them in.
Our letters of the week were “G” and “H” and we’ve had an array of imaginative items shown and talked about during registration including: Giraffe, Giant (land snails), Helicopter, Hard Hat, Head torch…..and Herds of Horses!
Although the weather’s been very changeable we’ve been out in our garden and new gazebo as much as possible. We’ve made a start on harvesting some of the vegetables and tidying it up ready for winter flowers – good job we’ve got some strong helpers! As part of our healthy eating theme this week, the children made delicious fruit kebabs with strawberries, pears, bananas and apples “to make us big and strong”. Sorry if you didn’t get to see them, most were eaten immediately!
Next week’s letter of the week is “I” so please look out for something for the children to show during registration. Our theme for the next two weeks is an old favourite – Elmer. We will be collaging, painting and gluing all sorts of amazing Elmer related craft items, as well as using him in our literacy and maths activities. So if you think we got messy this week…………!
