Wishing all our Ladybirds and Little Ladybirds a Happy Easter!

The final week of term was very eggciting (sorry!). We painted eggs, ready for our Easter Egg Hunt in Royston Woods on Friday, made chick baskets with Donna, and Stella challenged us to find uses for different length tubes: the children used them as horses, tunnels for cars, snakes, swords, built wigwams with them, made telescopes and binoculars – the list was endless! Our letter of the week was “r” and, appropriately for Easter, we had lots of rabbits brought in to show at registration. We also had robots, rings, a rhino  – and even a ruby! We finished our week with our Easter Egg Hunt in Royston Woods; where we made woodland soup (herbs, grass, water and earth) and followed trails of eggs to birds, and paw prints to animals – no Gruffalo today though! We all wish the children a happy and safe Easter holiday – look forward to seeing you all when we go back on Thursday 16th April when our letter of the week will be “s” – wonder if we’ll get any snakes……?!
