Phew – is that another week over already? We cannot believe it’s only one week left till the end of term. With some sunny days this week, it’s been lovely to have our snack outside and enjoy playing in the garden.
We’ve got lots of ideas of what we want to do outside (mostly from the children: grow beans, tomatoes, pink flowers, cucumbers, potatoes and orange flowers – “which smell nice”!) To raise money for our garden projects we have an Easter Raffle – don’t forget to return your stubs for a chance of winning the hamper.
“Q” was a challenging Letter of the Week but we had quite a range of “Queens” including those from a pack of cards, Happyland and, of course, Elsa from Frozen. (Where were the Qashkais? Will we get some Renaults next week?!)
Our main story this week has been “Owl Babies” and the children made lovely nests of fluffy white baby owls with Donna, and delicious Owl Ice Cream.
Other activities included:
and generally playing with friends.
So the eclipse may have been a bit disappointing on Friday but, as one little girl told us, “it’s when the moon goes over the sun – don’t worry, it’s only (dark) for a little while” – we couldn’t have explained it better ourselves!
